The doctor found a bit of arthritis in my spine, which may or may not be causing my pain, and also some sort of defect on my bilateral L4 pars (part of my spine). So now I have to go to a back specialist who will probably make me get an MRI, and most likely start injecting my back and various places with cortisone or steroids to block the pain… so the mystery continues…

I am excited because my momma is comin’ into town this weekend!!! I need some DK time!!! Woo hoooo!!!!

For my back x-rays, that is. Too bad I have to wait until Wednesday to have the doctor translate what the nurse read off to me from the report in doctor language. I only understood “Osteophytosis” when she read it.  Is it Wednesday yet !?

SWA Rap

So some of you may or may not know, but I hurt my back working at camp this summer. Everybody said that it would get better as soon as I stopped working there…. but it hasn’t. It has gotten a lot worse. So I finally (i’m stubborn, so it takes me a while to get off my “I am fine” high horse…. it’s a family trait) went to the doctor and they made me get x-rays of my back to check to see if there’s anything abnormal and put me on this medication that makes me sick to my stomach most of the time and gives me headaches. If my back doesn’t get better by the time I am done with my prescription, I get to go see a back specialist and have steroids shot into my back (ugh.. needles…). Way fun.

In other news, I had a fun weekend. It included the following:
- homemade pumpkin acorn squash soup
- ciabatta bread
- scavenger hunt
- carmel corn
- haunted graham cracker houses
- pizza
- Hocus Pocus (love it!)

I am excited because DK is coming up Halloween weekend! I miss my momma !
Oh and Nate is coming up next weekend, but I am working most of it, so maybe I will get to see a glimpse of him…

A Closer Inspection of Utah

So I have been hearing Little Rachel and Nate talking and raving about hummus. So I decided to try it out. It is interesting to say the least. I got a garlic/greek kind (you know me) and it tastes okay… minus the little bit of the aftermath burning when I swallow it. Maybe I just didn’t get a good flavor. Any suggestions??
